The site, branded "MSeCompanyStore" was initially built exclusively for use by the Microsoft employee population around the globe as well as alumni and selected business partners. MSeCompanyStore not only serves as the exclusive online source for Microsoft-branded merchandise, but also acts as the online channel through which employees can purchase Microsoft hardware and software. The site has since expanded to offer a selection of Microsoft promotional merchandise to the general public. In addition to the online stores, eCompanyStore also merchandises and manages each of Microsoft's five physical stores in Redmond, Silicon Valley, Dallas, Fargo and Charlotte.
